The Civil War Experience Event at the Hoyt Library
Presents Diane Grant Czajkowski
Art and Photography Exhibition Equine, Canine and Wildlife Artist
Please join us on Friday, October 3, 2014 in Remembrance of the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War with a 5:00 p.m. reception at the Hoyt Library, and a 7:00 p.m. dinner at the Westmoreland Club, and meet The Confederation of Union Generals, Abraham Lincoln, and view the Civil War Art Exhibition of Diane Grant Czajkowski.
Diane Grant Czajkowski is a skilled artist whose exhibition is part of the Hoyt Library’s Civil War Experience, and will feature: The Civil War Horse. Her exhibition brings home some of the pieces of war, in light of the horses, with her art and photography. Diane’s paintings depict horses in action with Civil War tack; soldiers in Civil War uniforms, and some of the ladies wearing clothing of the time period. Diane is well known in her community for her equestrian, canine, nature and wildlife portraits. Her animals come together in an array of colors and expressions of life. She has won many awards and grants, and is internationally known. Recently, she has exhibited across the United States and in Russia. She won at the Luzerne County Fair, Lehman, PA, the Rosette Award Best of Show for an Animal Oil Painting; Honorable Mention, Juried, 18th Annual Regional Art Exhibit, Endless Mountains Council on the Arts, Tunkhannock. In addition, she won the Northeast Fair, Blue Ribbon in Pastel Animal Painting, and for Animal Photography.
The artist is personable and will be very sharing about her art and photography. She states, “Often neglected to be mentioned, these animals, horses, have served our soldiers valiantly. During the time of the Civil War, our soldiers, sons, daughters, fathers, mothers were all supported in many ways by these magnificent animals. I hope to share this with my exhibit.”
The cost of a ticket for the Remembrance of the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War is $55.00 per adult, or $25.00 per child, age twelve and under. Please respond on, or before, September 24th. There will be a cash bar, and cocktail attire is required.
